StellaNova Film is a Stockholm based Film and Television Production Company operating in the Nordic countries and internationally. The company was founded in 2008 by producer Lena Rehnberg, former Head of Production at Sandrew Metronome.
The first film produced by StellaNova Film, the romantic comedy A Midsummer of Love had its theatrical release on July 31st 2009. The film was a huge success at the boxoffice.
In 2010 StellaNova co-produced the feature film As If I am Not There based on the acclaimed book by Slavenka Drakulic.
The latest film by StellaNova Films is the romantic comedy Once Upon A Time in Phuket a much longed-for romantic comedy from the people behind A Midsummer of Love. It opened February 3rd 2012. The film is shot in Trollhättan, Stockholm and Thailand.
StellaNova Film is currently under production with the feature film about the jazz-singer Monica Zetterlunds life. The film is estimated to have its theatrical release in the fall of 2013. The original script is written by Peter Birro and is directed by Per Fly.
